The fascinating history of celebrity endorsed shoes!
This post inspired me to look for more fruity foot treats. I thing I even like this Tart Peep-Toe Pump even more... Satin Cherry print on black satin, 4 inch heels, a 1 inch platform, and peep-toes all gift wrapped with red patent leather!
My Vintage Vogue has a whole page devoted to shoes! (Found via this post at Slip's lingerie blog.)
Slip of a Girl's got her first contest of the season started -- you can win $50 worth of free stockings and lingerie! Plus, there's a special code to take 15% off any order at Lingerie.com. I know it sounds rather lame to some, but I'd take $50 worth of sheer black stockings; I go through a lot of stockings!
The Miu Miu Cross-front leather pumps are now 50% off! I love how these appear to be modest shoes -- but show off the sexy arch! (I was alerted to the sale by my Shop It To Me email.)
Giuseppe Zanotti Women's I06162 Pump: classic suede pump with a crystal-encrusted bow on the vamp and thin stiletto heel.
I can't believe Urban Outfitters has these leopard print knee socks on sale for just $4.99! I've ordered both colors! (Sale found via my Sale Mail Alert from Shop It To Me.)
Another fab find from that Etsy seller, this time vintage black peep-toe slings with peek-a-boo plastic on the vamps and a pretty glittery beaded "buckle" look.
Via this post at A Tad Too Much Tan For Taupe (which has incredible shoes!), I found these vintage bondage strap shoes -- that wide black strap makes this pair of olive shoes anything but drab!
I'm the some bunny ready to faint over these high heel bunny slippers, so I'll let Frou Frou Fashionista tell you all about them:
Available in pink, black and powder blue, the slippers are made from a combination of satin and faux fur with a 3 1/2 inch heel. They are designed for both indoor &; outdoor use, so there's no point in restricting these cuties to just the boudoir. You can learn more about Streetzie's High Heel Bunny Slippers here.Read more...
Most importantly, you can purchase your slippers here.
Smoke n Mirrors (NSFW) posted this just for me -- well, and for lingerie blogger, Slip of a Girl.
Well, you can still admire these lovely black & white vintage shoes.
Ah, these D&G Hibiscus patent peep-toe slingbacks (found via Shop It To Me Sale Mail Alert) have quilted insides which remind me of jewelry boxes... Little luxuries which cradle and display perfect jewels... *dreamy sighs*
When thigh-high boots were for hookers, strippers & other provocative women? I do. But now, eh, not-so-much. I've long worn black thigh-high leather boots like intimate secrets, hiding beneath long skirts... I've enjoyed it immensely. And I'm not sure I will ever want to proudly display them. Shy girl or no, I like having a few secrets -- that I may choose to share *wink* (Jimmy Choo black leather thigh-high boots; sale found via Shop It To Me.)
Now we'll see lots less strappy shoes and pumps with white ankle socks -- in public anyway. *sigh* Parting is such sweet sorrow... (Image via.)
I'm working overtime this weekend; one of the perks of being a poor college student with lusty appetites for shoes, books, and lingerie. *wink* So while the rest of you in the US enjoy your day off, I'm just hoping for a long enough break at the bookstore today to do this. (Image via Hate Handles.)
My mind is blown... You'll have to get the full story from StyleBubble.
Wearing such light colored shoes with black stockings is a serious fashion faux pas; but the high contrast of the white or light straps criss-crossing over the dark nylon is incredibly sexy. A look best saved for nights in, where catty jealous girls won't label you a "fashion don't."

Dutch sculptor Mario Philippona's "Sexy Furniture" series is created via life-sized drawings and assembled from pre-cut layers of wood, so that they're anatomically correct. According to his website statement, "This way he can reproduce the most perfect female forms. This perfectionism he recognizes in the way women use fashion, high heels, fitness and plastic surgery to portray themselves. The female images in for example Playboy are precisely composed and manipulated in PhotoShop."
Then how many words is a motion picture worth? Hell, I'm not studying math... In my opinion, this still of Barbara Stanwyck (as Sugarpuss) presenting her foot in Ball of Fire is pure poetry!
Last week I started classes again. I can only afford to go part-time, but hey, I'm gonna get there, right? One thing this means is wearing less sexy shoes, more practical shoes. I can get away with wearing the spikiest of heals where I work, but as a student, it tends to give folks the wrong impression -- as if "sexy woman" and "serious dedicated student" were mutually exclusive concepts. Whatever! While I'd like to prove that stupid theory wrong, my educational plan is already on the slow-track, and I literally cannot afford to fight that fight. Meanwhile, here's proof that practical shoes can still be sexy -- just as reading always is *wink*

Card found via S & M = Smoke & Mirrors -- totally NOT worksafe!
Jane says these "pointy, piecey, shiny, strappy, snake-like Chloe heels" are wicked. My little wicked heart goes pitty-pitty-pat!
I'd love to say this was my cake, but, sadly, it's not. I'll be lucky to get a cupcake from a coworker. *heavy sigh* That's the problem with living away from family. (But I will see my family this weekend, so maybe...)
If you were so inclined, today or any day, you can send me a gift simply by entering my email address (which is shyklaudia@gmail.com) -- I'd love a gift certificate to spend at Sock Dreams, or an Amazon gift card. *batting lashes sweetly*

OMG, why why why do I have to love working with books, and so suffer near poverty wages, AND love shoes? I mean look at these purple suede over-the-knee boots and tell me a girl doesn't just have needs!

Fab footwear photos by The Cherry Blossom Girl; pink Miu Mui shoes on boxes and YSL shoes personalized with flowers!
Even with the fancy fetish boots, this is an unlikely combination -- but I love it! (Via S & M = Smoke & Mirrors.)
(No comment on the panty peep lol)
(In case you need it spelled out for you, look at Marilyn's top!)
So says these pages from Beauty Parade, January 1950. Sure, it's vintage; but so is my fashion sense -- and so are many of my stockings! Sure, it's campy stuff from an old men's mag; but then men haven't really changed that much, have they? (Totally fitting for our Fashion Fetish Fortune Telling Event.)
These "Super Suspenders" from Henry Holland By Pretty Polly are an amazing feet feat of trompe l'oeil!
The faux garters or mock suspenders are created using a thicker more opaque band of tights over a fine sheer upper panel at the top of the thigh, fooling the eye into seeing an actual garter!
Now I know die-hards like Slip of a Girl probably won't give up their real stockings, garter belts, garters dangling from their girdles, etc.; but for girls like me who have jobs which require a bit more stable and presentable hose for wearing on the library floor, these are awesome.
I'm in love *swoon* Can you hear my heart go pitter-pat? I'm buying buckets of these for fall. Practical and sexy!
Found at Boogie Children.
Most intriguing old shoe ad... I love how it depicts a corset too, saying "made to order and anything of leather normal, bizarre, unusual and theatrical styles." Positively yummy for the fetishist that I am *wink*
I know fall is here -- as far as shopping goes, anyway. But I'm just not ready for the motorcycle boot. And it's not a seasonal dislike; I'm just too girlie. What's the shoe for the shy girlie rebel? I know one thing: it will have a fabulous heel!
Experimental shoe posts inspired by me: shoes for satyrs and Miao pussy cats.
Read more...I love shoe designer Atalanta Weller, especially those which are more concept than for consumer consumption; Susie Bubble got inside the designers studio -- color me green with envy!
