Kinky Boots, the stage adaptation of the 2005 Miramax film that marks the first outing as a musical-theater composer for Cyndi Lauper, will debut in a pre-Broadway run in Chicago in the fall.

It sucks when your job gets in the way of your shoe shopping. It's bad enough the small paycheck does -- but when working means you miss an online shoe sale, well, tears are in my eyes. *sniffle* This shoe was sold out before I could even open my Sale Mail! "So Haute, It's Sold Out" indeed. *pout* But at $29.70 what can you expect? It was $99! Damn jobs keep getting in my way.

Adorable little rounds of cookie dough in pink and purple, slippers (Cinderella's glass slipper, no doubt) with hearts on them!
This box full didn't make it to the oven. I disregarded the box's advice and ate the cookie dough pieces raw. Yummy! Now I'm off to go find a few more -- maybe even bake a batch before I eat them. *wink*

I Thought About These Shoes All Day
I first spotted these Yves Saint Laurent shoes early this morning, in my Sale Mail from Shop It To Me, and I dismissed them as, well, ugly. Platform fringed loafers -- complete with a chain on the vamp -- in suede? As peep-toe slingbacks yet? WTF? ...But they stayed on my mind all day and so I now pronounce them ingenious!
